DJ-Matic was founded in 2000, by entrepreneurs from within the leisure and hospitality industry. Taking their own needs as a benchmark, they started developing new and versatile solutions for automated background music, with great success. Within the year, the first music computer was launched at the Hotel and Catering fairs of Hasselt and Ghent. Subsequently, in 2002, DJ-Matic was the first supplier to introduce the possibility to download tracks from the internet.

The VJ-Matic or DJ-Matic Clips, that allows the use of video clips and commercials, was created in 2006.

A close team of employees and an excellent service made DJ-Matic the largest provider in Belgium. In 2007 this market position was extended further by the take-over of Encore Audio Media, the first supplier of digital music systems for the Hotel and Catering industry and the largest innovator on the Dutch market. Through its dealer network, Encore Audio Media was present on the Italian and the Swiss markets as well.

Eventually, the commercial and technical expertise of both companies was combined. This allowed the music collection, among others, to grow enormously. At the moment DJ-Matic uses the slogan “Enjoy the music” whilst strengthening its leading position in the present markets, and expanding these to new scopes, like digital advertising.

DJ-Matic remains innovative. DJ-Matic remains a pioneer.
